Neworld Medical Detox Scholarship Program
At Neworld Medical Detox, our main goal is help individuals recover from drugs and substance addiction; however, we also endeavor to educate the society on the dangers and effects of drugs.
We seek to reward a deserving college or university student, who subscribes to our efforts in fighting drug addiction, with a scholarship program. We strongly believe that YOU, as a college student are the future and can do marvelous things in regards to changing the society; therefore, we would be glad to be of assistance in facilitating your education.
Who Is Eligible
- Scholarship is available to Canadian or U.S citizens
- Open for both first-time and returning students
- Applicant must be currently attending or planning to enroll in a college / university in the Summer 2018 semester
- Students must meet the required minimum GPA
Requirements
Applicants must submit the following in order to qualify for a scholarship.
- Must complete all the fields in the application form before submitting
- Your full name, mailing address, phone number, and email address
- Proof of Canadian or U.S residence
- Applicants must show proof of enrollment in an accredited college/university to receive scholarship payment.
- Write an essay – Submit an essay (1000 words max ) which expresses the views of those ardent about drug and alcohol dependence and the impact it has on people, their wellbeing, society and more.
- It is not a must that you have a history of alcohol and drug addiction to participate
- What important is your dedication to articulating your views for:
- The manner in which addiction negatively affects the society
- What can we do to curb these effects, help patients, and reduce the burden of drug dependence on the society
Deadline
Please submit the application no later than Aug 1, 2018.
Award
- We will review all applications and declare the winner on Aug 31, 2018.
- Purpose of the scholarship is to cater for tuition and other school-related expenses
